Our volunteers are delighted to hear the good news Today that we have received €4607.00 from the COVID-19: Stability Scheme for Community and Voluntary, Charity and Social Enterprise Organisations grant scheme.

This grant is much appreciated, as all our every day collections (churchgate, Flagday etc) have ceased due to Covid. It’s great to be granted this, which will help Drogheda River Rescue provide the vital services they do and have done since 1972.

Services we provide include

🔴Suicide Prevention Patrols at weekends

🔴School/Group Safety talks/visits

🔴Life-ring Maintenance,

🔴Event Safety Cover

🔴Missing Person Searches land/water

🔴Covid 19 support/help

🔴Assistance to other Organisations with Searches Nationwide, Land/Water

🔴Assistance at flooding/high tide

🔴Assistance during bad weather (ie snow) or during times when the public need help (ie Water outage, Covid, etc)

Drogheda River Rescue and Recovery was established in 1972, and is the longest serving rescue group in the Town. We are based in Horse-lane, Trinity Street, Mell, Drogheda.
