Update regarding Mornington Tower life-ring damage. 🔵

As your aware, there has been ongoing issues in the Mornington Tower area of Mornington, Co. Meath. On a weekly basis damage has been caused and we have attended the area on a regular basis to maintain/fix the life-rings. We asked you the public to assist us with the ongoing incidents.

We are delighted to receive the news from Gardai, 🔴 that a person has been arrested and charged in relation to the damage and is to appear in Court later this Month 🔴

Thank you 👏 to the Gardai in Laytown/Ashbourne, you the Public, Meath County Council and our volunteers in Drogheda River Rescue for the continued efforts with the issue.

Let’s hope this message, let’s everyone know, that not only are you putting lives at danger, but that it is an offence to interfere/damage with lifesaving equipment, and that you may be arrested and appear in Court over same.

Thank you once again and let’s hope the individual is found guilty and reprimanded by the courts.
